Meet the puppies

Our Story
Our family has lived in the mountains east of Albuquerque, New Mexico for about twenty years. We love it here and share our lives with three dogs, a cat, two parakeets and enough chickens to supply everyone we know with eggs. Most of our kids are grown but we’re happy to have college students who come and go and our youngest daughter, still in high school. Grandkids live close enough to visit and we are honored to have foster placements from time to time.
Our puppies are raised around a lot of activity, different kinds of people of all ages, including a wheelchair user, animal friends and tons of attention. We have always loved dogs. In the eighties, we bred registered American Eskimos and then Great Pyrenees. All of our dogs were part of our lives and lived inside and outside as our family grew with children and then teens. We were partial to these two breeds because of their easy-going, fun and intelligent personalities. They were dedicated to their people and wanted to please. Our dogs were featured in calendars and a breed book. The downside was the shedding. White fur all over everything. Along the way, we moved to New Mexico, kids grew up and although we had an assortment of dogs over the years, we didn’t consider breeding again until Miss Honey joined our family.
Honey has one full-blooded cocker parent and one full-blooded poodle parent. She is the perfect mix of everything we love about dogs without the maintenance of constant brushing, vacuuming and living with poofs of dog hair around. She has a happy personality and has been easy to train. We chose to breed her with Walter, a poodle/schnauzer because he is similar in size and hair texture but mostly because he has such endearing behaviors. Walter skips when he’s happy, gets zooming when he’s excited, and is attached to his favorite toys that he cuddles with and carries around. Although Honey will follow her person from room to room, Walter is content to hang out with whoever is available. They are both affectionate, intelligent and adorable. We are expecting a litter of puppies in early October 2023. These are not show dogs or fancypants dogs but chosen to make great additions to families who want a small/ medium-sized dog who will enrich their families with fun, affection and companionship without the shedding. Since we breed for personality, health and charming cuteness, instead of a registered standard show dog, we are able to keep our prices at about half of most “designer breed” dogs in our area. We want to share the joy our dogs have brought
us with other families.
If you’d like to reserve a puppy we ask for a $500 deposit. You will receive regular updates and videos of your puppy and can visit if you’d like. The puppies will be eating puppy food and be ready to go home at eight weeks old, They will be socialized, used to different people, walking on different textures from concrete to carpet, hard floor to rocks, and will have started crate training and learning to sit on command.
